A Collaboration to Improve Sustainable Gambling

Thu, 20 Sep, 2018

Join us at the Sustainable Gambling Conference on 16th October in Stockholm. The conference will welcome leading academics, regulators, psychologists, treatment agencies and operators to discuss how we as an industry can collaborate to improve our responsible gambling efforts.

The 3rd Annual Sustainable Gambling Conference (previously Responsible Gaming Conference) will take place in Stockholm on 16th October. In previous years, the conference has been hosted in Malta. This year, we look forward to welcoming attendees to what is quickly becoming the tech capital of the world. Stockholm is also home to the majority of European gambling companies.

The initiative behind the conference is to facilitate an open conversation to provide greater transparency of the complexity in problem gambling. The broad range of speakers allows us to better understand the different aspects of responsible gambling, and how we must all play the part to deliver on our promise. We continuously strive to walk the talk. Kindred’s award-winning Player Safety – Early Detection System (PS-EDS) is one of our many initiatives, a system which combines risk indicators based on empirical studies with a humanistic personalised approach. We also collaborate with external partners such as Gamban, Betfilter and Gambling Therapy to develop gambling blocking software and therapy apps.

“We believe that gambling should be a form of entertainment, taking place in a safe, secure and sustainable environment. Responsible gambling is an integral part of our sustainability strategy and remains vital to Kindred’s long-term growth. We see great value in hosting the Sustainable Gambling Conference and look forward to welcoming fellow stakeholders as we believe unity across the industry is essential in fighting problem gambling”, says Henrik Tjärnström.

The conference will be addressed by Kindred Group’s CEO, Henrik Tjärnström, followed by Alfred Grixti, CEO of Foundation for Social Welfare Services. Head of Integrity and Player Sustainability Research at Kindred, Maris Bonello will give the concluding remarks. We look forward to welcoming leading academics, regulators, psychologists, treatment agencies and operators to discuss topics such as integrity in sports and responsible gambling, and how we can work together to secure a long-term sustainable gambling industry.

Tickets for the conference is free of charge but limited. For more information about the program and speakers, please visit the Sustainable Gambling Conference’s website here.
