What started as Unibet in 1997 is today the global gambling group Kindred. From his London flat, our founder Anders Ström set out to change the way players gamble and offer them an experience suited to the modern digital world. Otto Kasino – Kindred Group launches first pay’n play casino.
Unibet launches in Indiana, Kindred Group's expansion in the US continues with third state.
Acquisition of Blancas Casino in Belgium demonstrates Kindred's long-term commitment towards the Belgian market.
Kindred aligns energy targets with Paris Agreement.

Unibet launches its first market, New Jersey in September, followed by Pennsylvania in November.

Kindred Group launches a new online casino brand for Norwegian and Casino players.
Acquisition of 32Red.
2016
The Unibet Group was given the highest possible ESG rating of AAA, by MSCI - ESG - Environmental, social and governance.
Unibet Group reaches 1 million active customers.
Unibet Group becomes Kindred Group and shifts to a truly multi-brand strategy with 13 consumer brands in its portfolio.
2015
Acquisition of iGame and Stan James Online. Later integrated with Unibet in 2018.
Casinohuone and Kolikkopelit are acquired.
2012
Betchoice acquired in Australia.
Unibet re-enters the French market with acquisition of Solfive.
2007
Bingo.com is acquired.
Maria Bingo is acquired to further strengthen position in bingo in the Nordics.
Later developed into Maria Casino.com.
Unibet launches on a mobile platform.
2004
Unibet expands its website into 12 languages, reaching customers in more than 50 countries.
