Wed, 26 Jul, 2006 12:00 CET

With effect from September 2006, Unibet’s poker offering will be streamlined and consolidated on to the one technological platform of Microgaming who already currently provide this platform for certain Unibet key markets.

Since the acquisition of MrBookmaker, Unibet has used two different platforms for online poker. The decision has now been made to terminate the contract with B2B Poker (Sweden) AB, and consolidate with one online poker provider. Many platforms have been thoroughly evaluated for over a year, including the current ones and Microgaming are deemed to provide the best offering for Unibet’s customers. Unibet will achieve several advantages by streamlining this technological platform. A single platform means safer and more cost-effective development and maintenance. The Microgaming platform also offers significantly better potential for the development of more games in the future. “All players from 21 countries will now have the possibility to challenge each other and we can improve our offer of poker and create attractive tournaments and more playable tables” says Petter Nylander, CEO Unibet.
