The beneficial interest of Anders Strom in the form of Swedish Depository Receipts (SDR's) in Unibet Group Plc has been reduced by 2.2million shares., which have been sold to institutional investors and funds based in Sweden and abroad. Following the sale Anders Strom’s beneficial interest will still remain as the largest shareholder with a shareholding of 3,403,356 shares/ SDR's representing approximately 12.1% of capital and votes.
As part of the arrangements with Carnegie, undertakings have been given not to carry out any further disposals before 31 December 2007 without prior approval.
Anders Strom's significant involvement and important role in the company remains as before and he will continue to serve as Executive Chairman. Anders Strom commented:
"I retain my focus on the future of the company and in playing a major part as Executive Chairman. The remaining shareholding of 12% is still a significant shareholding for any shareholder to have in a listed company. “
